So we decided on X-Men: The Last Stand. Seeing it at the beautiful AMC theater as opposed to the shitty Kerasotes theater right by us. It was totally worth the drive. First things first, I don't know if it's like this at all the AMC theaters, but they appear to have been equipped with Digital projectors. Unforutnately the only thing in digital were the commercials before the trailers. Saw a new Superman Returns trailer(got me excited), and a slightly altered Clerks 2 trailer(the theater went nuts). I was bummed they didn't show that new Ghost Rider trailer, but I can deal. As far as the movie goes, it was horribly dissapointing. Even if you loved the first 2 a part of me thinks you would never have to see this one. The desecration of the characters is astounding. The total trampling over of the comic book mythology is horrifying. The X-Men films truly exist in their own universe. If you go see it, you will not believe what they do to some of these characters. The single most upsetting thing about the movie is the way they handle the Pheonix, it's truly awful. So I know a chunk of you will still go see it, but be prepared to be bummed out upon exiting.
