FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Long Awaited Comic Book 2100 to Become Series of Novels.

Rockford, IL—June 6, 2006— For the last tWo years tHe cOmic book 2100 hAs been whispeREd abouT and teased to botH thE COmic book and ARG communities. Author James Plachy found himseLf hitting one bump after another untiL finally hitting a dEad end. Finding himself unable to find an art team to work on the Comic James has decided to release The epIc sci-fi story 2100 as a series of noVEls.

2100 begins in November 2006 with The House Keepers. New novels will be released every 3-4 months after that until it’s conclusion. Each novel is a self-contained story, but reading each novel pieces together the entire epic tale.

It begins with the story of Zustwo Robotics and their new line of in-home robotic housekeepers. The story takes on a twist when the robots discover they have bad programming that makes them steal information and funds from the homeowners. Four of the robots go on a journey to confront their makers and that’s just the beginning of a wild vision of the future.

The journey does not end in the novels either. There is another story only hinted at in the novels. It’s up to readers who want to dig deeper to uncover the mysteries. Every phone number, email address, web site, snail mail address, and even instant message screen names will have a real life counterpart for readers to try and use. Eventually the clues will even spill out onto bus stations, billboards, street posters, newspapers, and places you least expect. The clues begin now, and they could be anywhere.

The 2100 universe doesn’t just belong to James, it belongs to the readers and anyone else who wants to play in it. 2 anthologies are planned to help flesh out the story line and amateur and professional writers will be called upon to write short fiction for them. “I think especially in Sci-Fi the fans like to come up with there own stories for the universes. Usually this is done in unauthorized fan fiction. I think it would be cool to ask the fans to create stories for the holes that are left open and then actually make them cannon for the universe.”

More information will be released soon via the Internet.

Tentative Release Schedule:
Book 1: The House Keepers (November 2006)
Book 2: Eye of the Storm (February 2007)
Book 3: The Hoods (May/June 2007)
Book 4: In Wartime (September 2007)
Anthology 1: War Paint (November 2007)
Book 5: Blueprint (February 2008)
Book 6: One Chance (May 2008)
Anthology 2: TBA (August 2008)
Book 7: TBA (TBA 2008)

Let me put that into Jim speak for you. Begining in November 2100 will become a series of self-published novels. With the hope that it will get picked up or I will make enough money off of it to keep going. Thanks for everyone who supported me on this, but it seems pretty obvious that I need to do this on my own.
