103-Worst Tetris Player Ever

So on Saturday I picked up Tetris DS, and was all giddy to jump into some Wi-Fi Tetris. Well my first opponent was Japaneese, and they kicked my ass in about 2 seconds. Ok....try again. Once again destroyed by a Japaneese player. This repeated about five times. Then I got an American looking name and that game went better, I still lost but I got better. The problem is that you are ranked in each game. Starting at 5000 and then working your way down or up depending on how you do. Well after a day of humiliating defeats I was UNDER 3500. So I went online to see what was up with the Japaneese Tetris players.

TURNS OUT...they cheat. Yup hacked game packs that let them win pretty much instantly. What is the point of that??!! I don't even know how I feel about it. I kind of want to return it, if it's just going to keep happening. I bought it for the Wi-Fi multiplayer, but now I am getting murdered by cheaters. This is the thing that has made Halo 2 almost completely unfun to play online.

As a quick review of the game though...I will say that there are enough single player and ad hoc multiplayer modes to keep it fun, I was just dissapointed to find out about the cheaters. Are there cheaters in the other DS Wi-Fi games?? Oh and each mode is a different classic Nintendo game which I thought was awesome too. I just wish you could change the backgrounds and stuff on the game manually. I am sick of being inside the castle from Super Mario Bros. in Wi-Fi mode. Oh well if you like Tetris this is probably the best version I have ever gotten my hands on, so I would say you would enjoy it.
