144-Gears of War Defeated

So a couple of posts ago I mentioned how I finally got my hands on Gears of War, and was pretty close to done with it. Well today I sat down and finished that sucker. Of course I did it on Casual, so that I can play it Hardcore with a friend over Live. It feels pretty good though, and I have to say I still feel there were a ton of ingenious but simple things, that not only kept me interested, but had me feeling for the characters a bit. It's definitely not the same emotional investment I have in characters of the Halo/Marathon universe, but I still felt involved in the lives of the characters a bit. All in all it is one of the better games I have ever played, and I already jumped into a couple of multiplayer versus games, and yeah...I could see myself spending my weekends doing that...at least until Halo 3 hits.
