So for the first time ever this weekend I will be "standing up" in a wedding. I am a groomsman for a friend I have known for...probably close to 20 years. We also hosted a radio show together for almost 7. He is also responsible for my video gaming addiction. Well at least partly. See Dixon(the friend not the town in Illinois) had a computer before anyone else. Seriously. Like when computers were thousands upon thousands of dollars he had one. We would play Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?, Doom, and the game that started it all Wolfenstein 3D. We also had some great 28K modem games of Duke Nukem 3D I have been hooked ever since, and thanks to him I can say that I have been a PC gamer all my life.
Today I went to go pick up the tux, kinda freaking out cause I figured I would look horrible in it, and damn I not only look pretty good, but the tux is just super awesome. The pants, shoes, and coat are black...dark black. Black on black. The vest and tie are a light pink. It works and looks awesome. I don't know whether it was him or his bride who picked the colors, but I will have to tell them they did a great job this weekend. So if the blog comes up a little short on posts, it's cause I am away at a wedding and all the festivities that surround standing up in one.
