I got rid of the new releases section on the sidebar. I don't think it's necessary, and makes the site feel more like a chore to me and less like a fun place to put ideas. Also instead of embedding the links into the actual posts I am going to make a related links section at the end of posts. Similar to what Joystiq and Howard Stern do, I feel like this is more professional looking, although I do know that embedding the links into the post is the more blogger thing to do. So if anyone has a problem with it, leave a comment or drop me a line.
