So remember when I said I didn't care about BioShock, despite the fact that everyone and everything was saying it was fucking amazing. Well thanks to Major Nelson's awesome interview with Ken Levine, and the demo for the game dropping that same night I fell in love with the game. Playing the demo multiple times, mouth agape each time I then ended up buying the game. I bought it on a Friday night and spent all the time I could over the weekend playing. On Monday at work I became obsessed with getting back to Rapture and finishing this incredible mystery that unfolded before me. I finished it on Tuesday, and I already can't wait to go back. The game blew me away at each turn, the graphics are something you cannot explain to people, the story is rich, and deep. The story is so complex and compelling on such an emotional level that if they tried to do BioShock in any other medium it would not translate at all. You NEED to play BioShock, you need to live with it, and experience it. BioShock almost plays you more than you play it.
If you own an Xbox 360 and/or a decent PC you must play BioShock. It would be an incredible disservice to your console or PC not to play it. Your Xbox is begging for you to be playing this game on it. Seriously. Game of the year......so far.
