104-Marvels And Apples

So on Monday Marvel Comics announced their big new stuff for '07, and it all pretty much kicks ass. First Dan Abnett of Warhammer 40,000 fiction fame will be writing the Nova ongoing series. Which is good for him I think comics are a good place for him. Guiding Light and Mighty Avengers will cross over. Yes THAT Guiding Light. Sean McKeever will be writing a Spider-Man Family ongoing series, which should be awesome for the simple fact that it will feature Spider-Man 2099.

This one has me really excited.......Spider-Man...."BACK IN BLACK"!!! YES!!!!!!!!

Ok so in 2004 we got Avengers Disassembled...in '05 it was House of M, and now we are in the middle of a Civil War. So what's in 2007? WORLD WAR HULK

The Dabel Bros. are being brought into the fold at Marvel, which is intresting. The big news though was that Joss Whedon himself will be taking over the writing on Runaways begining with issue #25. Which is friggin huge.

Yesterday Apple announced it's new iPod lineup, and what a lineup it is. The shuffle is completely different, super tiny, and at 1G for $79 I might just have to pick one up. The nano returns to it's mini roots by going with aluminum colors. The prices were slashed, but I still don't see the point in owning one. When you can go with the 30G or 80G(!) video iPod. Oh and those prices were cut too.

Apple kicked some serious ass all over iTunes 7 which of course is available as a free download and takes the album artwork to a whole new level. The movie store also opened, and I don't know if I am ready to download movies yet. I don't even know if I think $12.99 is a fair price. All in all though Apple kicked some major ass yesterday. For me the biggest news was the 80G iPod...at 50 bucks LESS than the 60G. The shuffle is also totally bad ass.
