Alright, so came home from work early again today, but with butterflies in my stomach about going to see Transformers tonight. I guess we are also going to go downtown(Chicago, more on that in a bit) to see the big fireworks display, possibly on a boat. I'm terrified of boats, but love fireworks so I guess that might even things out a bit.
It's funny, because I live near the 2nd(or 3rd depending on who you ask) biggest city in the state of Illinois. Some would say I live in a suburb of Rockford. It is almost like a mini Chicago. It has a nice sized downtown with a river, bridges, lots of festivals, and neat artwork. All the kinds of stuff you would find in a downtown Chicago, but shrunk down. However, when anyone here says they are going "downtown" you know they mean Chicago. A friend at work asked if I wanted to go with to see the fireworks downtown, and I knew he meant Chicago, despite the fact that downtown Rockford, is about 50 miles closer. I wonder if Rockford feels bad about it. Always being passed over for the more exciting Chicago. Oh well I don't care I'm from Chicago, and I always love going back, and come to think of it I have never seen the fireworks downtown, so fingers crossed it's exciting and not frustrating.
So I am only a few hours away from seeing Transformers, and I am super pumped, I just watched the trailer....AGAIN. I hope it doesn't disappoint, I am sure I will post about it. Alright this might the last one for the night, I am sure I will be blogging a bunch tomorrow.
